Today my blog is 6 years old and I would like to celebrate it with this simple truth expressed in the words of the great children’s writer Gianni Rodari.

La favola più corta

Gianni Rodari

The shortest tale

Gianni Rodari

Once upon a time, three storytellers had a contest, and the winner would be the one who could tell the shortest tale.
The first told a tale that was one hundred words long.
The second told a tale that was fifty words long.
The third kept quiet and told no tale.
“Well?” said the other two. “Aren’t you going to say anything”
“I’ve already finished. My tale is called: Silence is golden.”
His companions had to admit that his had been the shortest tale, and they gave him the prize. But I have no idea what that prize was.
