Reading becomes an art

.

So you spend the first part of your life reading, so? It’s evasion, new worlds, new people, new views.

Then all the words that have helped build who you are rise to the surface and come gushing out.

And you write, so?

It’s freedom, liberating, bloody,

But translation…that’s quite another thing altogether. It’s the pleasure of the first and the trials of the second. It’s when reading becomes an art. It’s when every day is you remembering your teacher as she analyses a text. It’s when every word hides something for you to discover. It’s when between the lines means as much as the lines themselves.

It’s art. Reflected in a mirror that is you. Both reader and writer.

La lettura diventa arte

.

E’ arte. Riflessa in uno specchio che sei tu. Sia lettore che scrittore.
