Del tradurre e altri scritti/Translation and other works by Manara Valmigli
Three years ago, I wandered into a foreign territory. Anything but computer savvy, I decided to create a blog. I watched tutorials – don’t we all? – played around with pictures and buttons, and made something I wanted very much, and that wasn’t there before (at least to my knowledge), a blog about translation that was totally in parallel. I didn’t think about the risk of putting two texts side by side (one surely beautiful the other…who knows?), I just moved forward in my ignorance, and, well yes, bliss.
That was a total of 402 posts ago; 34, 435 views ago; and 18,299 viewers ago from 125 different countries.
There was never a minute when I thought, “Oh, enough!”
I hope there never is: There are still so many Italian poets and writers I love, and haven’t translated yet. – M.C.

In his outline of Quaderni on February 8, 1929, while Mussolini was ratifying the Lateran Treaty, concordat regulating relations between State and Church, the essay…Read more Noemi Ghetti
