Pioggia d’odio dal cielo

cade sui prati e secca

l’erba le mani arde i capelli acceca

l’uomo che attento alto fissava quell

volo d’ali.

Grandina odio sui tetti

scardina i muri

sega i tendini in corsa del cavallo

che stramazza fumante sul selciato.

A shower of hatred from the heavens

A shower of hatred from the heavens

falls on the meadows and withers

grasses hands it burns hair blinds

the man who rapt on high was observing that

flutter of wings.

Hate hails down on the rooftops

razes the walls

severs the tendons of the horse in flight

that drops spent on the stones.
