Pace

by Sandro Pecchiari

chiudi le ali

sdrucito amore

che hai portato

voli e pianti

porti avvistati

e tralasciati

sorrisi di balene

e oscurità

che hai donato

febbre sulle mani

lame nella gola

respiro di falchi

e la fine dei giorni

e degli anni

chiudile insieme

ai sogni etichettati

iniettati

con un dolore

che non pulsa più

chiudi gli occhi

che hai lasciato aperti

per farmi ritornare

con cautela

in questo mondo

che si sbuccia

ampio e molle

come l’aria

sopra un prato

Peace

by Sandro Pecchiari

close your wings

broken love

you brought

flight and tears

harbours sighted

and ignored

white whale smiles

and darkness

you granted

passion to the touch

blades in tongues

the sigh of peregrines

and an end to the days

and the years

close them with

branded dreams

brandishing

pain

that no longer throbs

close your eyes

left open

to bring me back

charily

to this world

that unravels

ample and smooth

like the air

over a field

    …chiudi le ali

    che hai portato
    voli e pianti…

    …close your wings
    broken love
    you brought
    flight and tears…

Who cares about what is lost or gained in translation, these two versions of #SandroPecchiari’s poem are both beautiful!
